  • Documento: A Side-By Side Comparison of Centralized vs. Distributed Access Architectures

This paper defines and compares two classes of access architectures that will emerge this decade to impact cable networking. Para ayudar a un MSO a tomar una decisión informada, este documento incluye un criterio de evaluación completo y una comparación lado a lado de seis tipos diferentes de arquitectura de acceso.

  • Resumen ejecutivo: Successful Deployment of Remote PHY

Operators must embrace new technologies and architectures to meet the growing demand for bandwidth. While delivering higher data speeds, they must also find ways to generate operational cost savings. Many are adopting DOCSIS 3.1 and Distributed Access Architectures, however, Operators need to determine which combination of technologies and approaches will best meet subscriber demand over the next five to 10 years. One Danish Cable Operator discovered that Remote PHY can be a key ingredient in the transformation required to build a more efficient, scalable, cost-effective network. This executive brief explains the benefits that Remote PHY has to offer and the results that this approach has yielded for the Danish Operator.
